Monthly Management Report
PWC had a need to collate data from their nationwide sites into one report. This report needed to contain Executive summary information, graphs that could be used to filter the data to be viewed and display year versus previous year. The data files had to be automatically collated and the resulting information uploaded to the Management Report. Most importantly the system needed to be reliable and managed in-house.
The automation process required a lot of code and it was therefore important to ensure that the process of collating and storing the data was well defined. Process was key.
The result was a report that ran seamlessly for ten years. This in itself became a “Legacy System” and was recently updated and redesigned in Excel 2007 creating a system that had even more functionality with a file size saving of 90%
